Presidential Staffer, Nana Yaa Jantuah, has stated that members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) deserve to be treated the same way they treated others while in power.
The former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) expressed her frustration in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, revealing her desire for President John Mahama to delegate a portion of his authority to her so she could deal with the NPP more decisively.
“They have had it cheap with their miserable minority. This is like a donkomi sale in the Kumasi market. I wish by Executive Instrument, President Mahama would give me just 0.01 of his power—the NPP would applaud me. Look at how they treated their own people; even Adwoa Safo as a woman,” she said.
A visibly angry Nana Yaa recounted her own experiences, alleging that armed security personnel once stormed her house during the NPP’s tenure.
“People have no idea what I experienced and witnessed others go through. Armed soldiers came to my house and they are now talking about intimidation—they haven’t seen anything yet. Mahama is even nice and pampering them,” she fumed.

She further accused the NPP of intentionally attempting to destroy former President Mahama’s reputation during his previous administration and warned that such efforts would be fiercely resisted this time around.
“Nobody will allow them behave the same way they did from 2012; we will not allow it to happen again. We will fight to protect President Mahama’s image,” she vowed.
Her comments come in the wake of a failed attempt by operatives of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to arrest the Member of Parliament for Assin South, Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, at his residence.
