The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has criticised the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) for alleged bias following an invitation to the Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, for questioning.
In a statement on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Nana B accused the NIB of engaging in selective justice and stressed that the NPP would resist any such attempts.
He confirmed that Abronye would honour the NIB’s invitation on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and would be accompanied by the party’s leadership.
The NIB summoned Abronye over claims he made against former President John Mahama, accusing him of withholding GH₵550 million intended for dismissed appointees at the Jubilee House, and alleging corruption in government recruitment and revocation processes.
Nana B, however, argued that during the tenure of the Akufo-Addo administration, no members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were summoned by the NIB despite making similar allegations of corruption.
He pointed out that figures such as Mahama and Ningo Prampram MP Sam George accused the government of corruption, yet the NIB took no action.
Nana B condemned the actions of the NIB, accusing the Mahama-led government of using the investigative body to intimidate former NPP appointees.
