NPP has nothing new to offer Ghana’s youth – NDC

-

The youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed the policies proposed by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr Bawumia, during the party’s manifesto launch in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, promised to empower the youth with digital and vocational skills if elected president in the upcoming December 7 elections.

Responding to the manifesto in an interview, the Deputy National Youth Organizer of the NDC, Osman Ayariga criticised the NPP’s performance, calling it disappointing and questioning the practicality of Dr. Bawumia’s promises.

“Today, the exchange rate stands at GH¢17 to the dollar. Businesses are struggling to survive. Energy costs are high. The cost of doing business is prohibitive. Yet, the NPP still dares to ask young people to vote for them.

“It’s an insult. If, after seven years and eight months, you’re still unemployed and still chanting ‘it is possible’ for the NPP, then you’re deluding yourself.

“You need to reconsider, recalibrate, and join the movement of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to build the Ghana we all aspire to live in,” Osman Ayariga told Channel One News.
