The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has disclosed that the committee reviewing the party’s performance in the 2024 general elections is expected to complete its work by the end of March 2025.
Speaking in an interview on Citi FM, Mustapha emphasized the importance of the committee’s findings in shaping the NPP’s strategy for a strong comeback in the 2028 elections.
“The party commissioned the Aaron Mike Oquaye Committee to review the outcomes of the 2024 elections. It’s worth noting that even in our 2020 victory, we proactively established the Yaw Osafo-Marfo Committee to assess our performance, and they provided valuable insights. We are now looking forward to the conclusions of the Aaron Mike Oquaye Committee,” he stated.
He added, “I have had the privilege of appearing before the committee alongside my fellow national executives. They have undertaken a thorough examination across all 16 regions and the 276 constituencies. This ongoing process is part of our commitment to revitalizing and reorganizing the party in preparation for the 2028 elections, and we expect them to finalize their report by March 31.”
The committee’s report is expected to provide critical insights into the party’s electoral performance and offer recommendations to aid the NPP’s reorganization ahead of the next election cycle.
