Chairmen and Ranking Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) committees in Parliament, alongside members of the National Council, have urged the party’s leadership to retain the current Parliamentary leadership in the upcoming 9th Parliament.
Addressing the media, they emphasized the importance of experience and strong character to effectively counter the numerical advantage of the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) majority in Parliament.
The leaders underscored the need for unity within the NPP caucus to ensure a solid performance in the next Parliament, which they believe will strengthen the party’s position and aid in regaining seats lost in previous elections.
Chairman of the NPP Caucus Chairmen of Committees and MP for Fanteakwa North, Kwabena Amankwaa Asiamah, stressed the significance of maintaining the current leadership for continuity and effective representation.
Similarly, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, Chairman of the Trade and Industry Committee and MP for Tema West, backed the call for continuity, expressing confidence in the current leadership’s ability to stand firm and defend the caucus in the next Parliament.
The NPP caucus remains committed to fortifying its presence in Parliament to deliver on its mandate and regain political ground.
