New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for New Juabeng North has put his position on the line ahead of the party’s parliamentary primaries on Saturday, June 20, 2020.
Chairman Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang said he will resign if the sitting Member of Parliament (MP), Kwesi Adjei Boateng loses the elections.
He was reacting to a survey conducted by National Security which put the opponent, Simpson Kwesi Owusu ahead of the incumbent.
According to the survey which was reviewed on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, the MP is likely to lose the primary to the underdog.

But Chairman Boateng, in a rebuttal, said that will not happen under his watch.
He stated emphatically that if the opponent gets even 40 per cent of the total votes cast, he will resign.
He predicted that the incumbent will win with a minimum of 75 per cent votes.
Chairman Boateng said his position is motivated by the hard work of the sitting MP who, in his opinion, deserves another term.
