Adom News’ Central Regional correspondent, Kofi Adjei reported that, at the time of the attack, the party’s executives were vetting candidates for orphan constituencies in the region.
He said the executives brought the vetting to an abrupt end due to the damages caused.
The attack came after the constituency’s first vice chairman, Horace Ekow Ewusi was suspended by the chairman, Robert Kingsford Kutin.

The suspension followed his failure to, among other things, respond to allegations of fraud by false pretense and jail break filed by a party member, Kraku Adum.
The NPP Central regional chairman has said until Mr Ewusi clears himself, he would not be reinstated.
This has sparked series of demonstrations against him for ‘pursing personal vendetta’ against his vice chairman.

Supporters of Mr Ewusi, who have petitioned the national executives, were set to present another petition to the regional office when the incident occurred.
They have, thus, vowed to work against the NPP in the 2020 general election.
Meanwhile, the party has reported the matter to the police for further investigations.
