I did not goof mentioning names – Vicky Zugah

-

The story of Vicky Zugah is one that should make people worried about a situation that needs early solution but unfortunately, the whole scenario seems to have taken a different turn.

This is a female celebrity who has been abused by several men and out of that, she wants to start a crusade that will seek to fight against women abuse in our society. Interestingly, instead of the general public and especially the media fighting her course by trumpeting the real deal she is fighting, we are rather fueling a quenched fire by asking all the unnecessary questions without helping her to accomplish that crusade.

But the question still remains as to who we should blame in all that is happening? Some pundits on radio have said unequivocally that Vicky Zugah is confused and that she might struggle to make the crusade work because of the trend the whole situation has taken. Vicky in her bid to put out what she has experienced as a female and a celebrity for that matter, mentioned the names of some male celebrities alike who have abused her through various means and forms.

Knowing the sensational nature of the media, they have taken interest in the names that were mentioned and have left the project unattended to which is not helping the agenda from the look of things.

Last Saturday on Showbiz 927 hosted by Nana Addo on 3-92.7FM, Vicky was asked why she brought in all those names and she revealed that she had to do that because until she tells her own story with facts and evidence, nobody will even believe what she has started. “I can`t blame myself for the trend this whole crusade has taken because I am speaking from experience. And to make people believe my story, I had to bring in my own experience with all those details so it will encourage people who are going through the same challenges to step up and complain” she added.

Vicky, we at Flex newspaper wish you well, but next time please do your communication well.
