Ghanaian Tamale-based rapper, Mujahid Ahmed Bello, known by his stage name Fancy Gadam has debunked rumours circulating in the media that he has endorsed a deal with the leading beverage manufacturer, Kasapreko Company Limited.
Earlier it was reported that the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) New Artiste of the Year will be an ambassador for one of Kasapreko’s non-alcoholic brands and was taken to the cleaners by his fans who are mostly Muslims.
Some are angry even threatened to abandon him should he decide to go ahead to sign the deal.
But in an interview with host KMJ on ‘Daybreak Hitz’ on Hitz FM, the newly appointed Tourism Ambassador for the Northern Region, Fancy Gadam said he has not endorsed Kasapreko.
“I have not signed any deal with them [ Kasapreko]. It’s a rumour. It is because they sponsored my show with Sarkodie”.
He however added that he would sign an endorsement deal with Kasapreko if the product is non-alcoholic.
“Where I’m coming from its not good for us so I will make sure they understand I haven’t signed any contract with them. If they want me on any drink with no alcohol I can sign but if there is alcohol I won’t sign…” he indicated.
The ‘Total Cheat’ hit maker urged his fans to expect a new collaboration with Nigerian-based, artiste Patoranking.
Fancy Gadam promised to grace Stonebwoy’s ‘Ashaiman to Da World Concert’ on September 30, 2017.
