The former WAFU Zone B president was then banned for life by the world football governing body, FIFA, following a petition by the investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

But according to the former Executive Committee member, the former FIFA Executive Council member, Nyantakyi, is always approached by the Normalization Committee to seek for information regarding the repatriation of football in the country.

“It would be a surprise to sideline Kwesi Nyantakyi who raised up to FIFA level after becoming the FA President for close to fifteen years,” Winfred Osei told Kickgh.com.

“I can say on authority that the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Normalization Committee consult Kwesi Nyantakyi on some of the issues,” he disclosed.
