No one can prevent Kotoko from qualifying – Edmund Ackah

-

Accra representative of Asante Kotoko, Edmund Ackah has said that, the current management of the club has really learnt some lessons as the flaws which affected the team by previous management are not being repeated.

He believes the team cannot be stopped by anybody born of flesh looking at how determined they are in this African campaign.

The management member on Asempa FM claimed that, the club’s poor performance in Africa recently has been poor managerial practices exhibited by past management of the club; but their administration has now realized that and are working to do the opposite.

“This management is being guided by the mistakes of the past administrations. We know Kotoko African campaigns in the past has not been anything good. So we are not going to sit down and say to ourselves that, all is done. Nobody born of human can prevent Kotoko from qualifying to the next stage.

“After the first leg, the executive Chairman; Dr. Kwame Kyei told the management that, the bonuses of the players has to be increased which management have accepted but has not been disclosed. So the players themselves don’t know what they are collecting After qualifying.” He

Mr. Ackah, however, debunked information circulating that, Asante Kotoko field an unqualified player in the name of Kwame Bonsu in the first leg in Cameroon; stating further that, the only player who will be ineligible to play in the return leg in Kumasi is Augustine Sefa, due to accumulated cards.

The Porcupine Warriors gave their CAF Confederation Cup group stage a huge boost with a crucial 3-2 win over Coton Sport in Yaounde in the first leg encounter of the playoff round and are hoping to seal the deal in Kumasi on Sunday.
