As part of efforts to bolster educational oversight in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region, Member of Parliament Geoffrey Kini has donated motorbikes to the Ghana Education Service (GES).
This initiative aims to enhance the monitoring and supervision of educational activities within the area, ensuring that schools operate efficiently and effectively.
In a short ceremony at the Municipal Education Office, Mr. Kini emphasized the importance of education in the development of the constituency and expressed his commitment to supporting initiatives that will improve educational standards.
According to him, education is the bedrock of society, and it is imperative that educators are provided with the necessary tools to succeed.
He noted that the donation of the motorbikes comes at a crucial time when the GES is striving to improve educational outcomes in the municipality.
In addition to the motorbikes, the MP has also pledged significant contributions, including the construction of pavilions in various communities to create conducive learning environments for students.
Mr. Kini urged the directorate to take proper care of the items received to improve the standard of education in the municipality.
Receiving the motorbikes, the GES Director, Jonathan Korsinah, expressed gratitude for the generous donation.
He highlighted that the motorbikes would significantly enhance the mobility of education officers, allowing them to conduct regular visits to schools, monitor teaching and learning processes, and provide timely support to educators.
Mr. Korsinah also noted that the support from the MP is unmatched, and with the motorbikes, it will ensure that no school is left behind in the quest for quality education.
