This initiative funded by the District Assembly Common Fund- Responsive Factor Grant (DACE- RFG) is part of the assembly ongoing efforts to improve educational infrastructure and ensure that students have access to adequate learning resources.

The desks, which are designed to accommodate two students each, are expected to alleviate the issue of overcrowding in classrooms, providing a more conducive learning environment.

During the handover ceremony, Mr Owusu-Gyimah emphasized the government’s commitment to providing quality education for all students in the municipality.

He stated that, the provision of these desks is a clear indication of the assembly dedication to improving the educational landscape in Nkwanta South.

By providing these essential resources, the government aims to create a more comfortable and effective learning atmosphere for students.

MCE Owusu-Gyimah also took the opportunity to advise school authorities and students to take good care of the desks.

He said the desks are not just furniture but they are tools for learning, urging all stakeholders to ensure they are well-maintained so that they can serve their purpose for many years to come.

Receiving the desks Richard Apreko and some officials from the GES, expressed gratitude for the support from the Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly.

He noted that the provision of these desks aligns with the assembly’s commitment to improving educational facilities across the country.
