The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nkwanta South, Felix Owusu-Gyimah, has called on churches in the area to pray for peace and unity in the community amidst recent unrest following conflicts between three ethnic groups.
During his visits to various churches in Nkwanta township, Owusu-Gyimah emphasized the importance of communal prayer to foster harmony and understanding among residents.
Addressing the congregations, he highlighted the need for spiritual intervention to address the conflicts and tensions in Nkwanta South.
Mr. Owusu-Gyimah expressed concern over the situation and stressed the need for all residents to work together towards peace and reconciliation.
He encouraged the residents of Nkwanta South to unite in solidarity, transcending their differences to build a peaceful and prosperous community for future generations.
Mr. Owusu-Gyimah underscored the role of faith communities in promoting reconciliation and forgiveness among those affected by the unrest.
He urged churches to reach out to those in need, offering hope and healing through their prayers and actions.
The head pastors of the churches pledged their support and commitment to praying for peace in Nkwanta South, the MCE and the entire Municipality to maintain peace and stability.
They agreed that through prayer, people can come together for much-needed development.
