Nkwanta Senior High School in the Oti Region, has been enriched with a donation of over 1,000 library books from the African Library Project.
This initiative is part of a broader effort, supported by Adom News, aimed at promoting literacy and education across more than 100 schools in the region.
The African Library Project’s Regional Director for the Oti Region, Festus Okpora underscored the importance of enhancing literacy and education locally.
He praised Adom News and the African Library for their dedication to assist schools and communities in need.
Mr. Okpora said by providing access to books and educational resources, they aim to empower students and bolster their academic achievements.
He encouraged students to utilize the resources effectively and develop a passion for reading and learning, emphasizing how these skills can broaden their horizons and create new opportunities.
The headmaster of the school, Solomon Bagmoe expressed gratitude for the generous donation, noting that the books will significantly enhance the students’ learning experience.
He stressed the pivotal role of reading in education and urged students to take full advantage of the newly acquired books.
Additionally, Bagmoe appealed for support in acquiring computers and other modern learning tools, recognizing the increasingly digital nature of education today.
In interviews with Adom News, students expressed their excitement about receiving the books, eagerly anticipating the chance to explore new subjects and expand their knowledge.
They also appealed to potential donors to consider contributing computers and accessories to further enhance their studies.
