Isaiah Kudjo Dordoe, the NDC constituency chairman for Nkwanta North in the Oti Region, has been unanimously confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE), securing 100% of the votes from the 22 assembly members present.

His confirmation was a decisive victory, with all members voting in favor of his appointment.

In an interview with Adom News, Mr. Dordoe expressed his commitment to working collaboratively with assembly members and community leaders to foster unity and drive development in the district.

He acknowledged the longstanding water crisis affecting Nkwanta North, particularly in the Sibi community, and pledged to prioritize its resolution as part of his legacy as DCE.

The new DCE emphasized that access to potable water has been one of the biggest challenges faced by residents in Sibi for decades.

To address this, Mr. Dordoe promised to engage with both government and non-governmental organizations to find lasting solutions to the water crisis.

The newly elected Presiding Member for the Nkwanta North District Assembly, Alhassan Abubakari, also expressed a shared commitment to resolving the district’s challenges.

He highlighted the need for continued collaboration among all stakeholders to achieve sustainable development for the district.
