Traffic on the Accra-Kumasi highway came to a standstill for more than five hours following an accident involving three long trucks from Burkina Faso on the Nkawkaw new road.
The collision left passengers and drivers stranded, with many expressing their frustration over the extended delay.
Speaking to reporters, some passengers and motorists called on the government to consider establishing a railway connection between Accra and Burkina Faso.
They argued that, such infrastructure would provide an alternative for Burkinabe truck drivers, potentially reducing road accidents caused by heavy-duty vehicles.
