The president-elect for Junior Chamber International Ghana, Priscilla Aninnnwa Oware has advised African leaders, particularly politicians and corporate bodies, to be united to achieve a common goal to help develop their countries.
The 2019 president-elect said the aim of the organisation was to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change but this cannot happen when leaders and people are divided against each other.
According to her, where there is unity and togetherness, the people are able to achieve more because the people understand each other and share ideas that will help build the environment in which they find themselves.
She noted that, likewise, where there are divisions and misunderstandings, the people will lack development because no one will be willing to bring his or her knowledge onboard.
According to her, most areas lack development due to division and tribalism as a result of their various political colours.
She believes if people do away with the attitudes and come together, they will be able to bring developmental ideas which will help build their nations.
Priscilla Aninnwa Oware is advocating for leaders to have the spirit of togetherness in sharing ideas that can help them develop their nations to and subsequently make their citizens happy.
