The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has expressed confidence in the newly formed Black Stars Management Committee, which he believes will steer the senior national team toward success.
The announcement of the revamped committee follows the dissolution of the previous one led by Mark Addo.
The GFA unveiled the members today, January 18, naming Dr. Randy Abbey as Chairman and former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah as Vice Chairman.
The committee also includes Samuel Aboabire, chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association; Moses Armah-Parker, President of Medeama SC; and Dr. Richard Nsenkyire, president of FC Samartex.
Commenting on the development, Mr Okraku said, “We are excited to announce the formation of this new Management Committee, which brings together a team of experienced and dedicated individuals who are passionate about Ghana football.
“We are confident that they will work tirelessly to support the Black Stars and ensure their success,” he added.
This reorganization comes as part of efforts to bolster the Black Stars’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The team is determined to bounce back following a disappointing campaign in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
With crucial matches against Chad and Madagascar scheduled for March, Ghana currently holds the second spot in Group I with nine points after four games.
The team remains focused on securing improved performances and results in the coming fixtures.
