The 11 new members of SSNIT board are set to make a review of salaries of top managements and possibly implement a salary cut when necessary.
According to the board workers, SSNIT will now be paid based on their key performance indicators.
Chairman of the board Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor told Adom News the board will thoroughly audit SSNIT and ensure value for money for both government and contributors.
He noted that, SSNIT as it stands currently has lost the respect and confidence by Ghanaians, adding that the new board will ensure a renewed confidence be brought back to the company by close of this year.
Dr. Addo-Kufuor, however, bemoaned the irregularities and improper practices within the trust such as imprudent investments which turn out to be a drain on the resources of the trust.
He also expressed worry on the delayed payment of SSNIT bonds and the interest and promised to resolve the challenges.
