The Divisional Chief of the New Edubiase Divisional Council has destooled the Abadwumhene of the community.
This action was taken after the Edubiasehene charged Nana Professor Amoako Tuffour with three counts of misconduct.
These include his repeated failure to respond to the 14 invitations by Edubiasehene which led to his destoolment as Abadwumhene.
During a press conference at his palace in New Edubiase, Edubiasehene Oguahyia Oduro Panin Birikorang explained to Adom News that, the destooled Abadwumhene had used his influence to create divisions within the family which has now has three factions.
Additionally, the Edubiasehene cited the Abadwumhene’s continuous disrespect towards him as the head of the Edubiase Divisional Council and his repeated refusal to honour the Edubiasehene’s invitations as reasons for his removal.
The Edubiasehene and the elders of the Divisional Council performed the necessary rituals to strip him of his position.
Nana Akua Dwum II, the Edubiasehemaa, believes that the decision to appoint Professor Amoako Tuffour as the traditional leader of the Abadwum was a mistake.
She explained that, though the Professor was not from the royal lineage, they gave him the position to use his influence in government to bring development in the area.
Nana Akua Dwum II fully supports the Edubiasehene’s decision to destool him due to the reasons outlined.
