We need collective efforts to qualify for AFCON 2019 – JE Sarpong

-

Veteran Ghanaian Coach, J.E Sarpong, has called for unity among the various stakeholders of Ghana Football in the aftermath of the abysmal World Cup qualifying campaign.
Coach Sarpong who is one of Ghana’s experienced and long serving coaches further urged the various stakeholders to forget about the past and concentrate on moving the team to the next level.
According to him, if we want to make it to the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament then this is the time for the entire nation to move past everything that has happened and work together as a unit.
“We need collective efforts, this is not the time to apportion blames to the GFA president or his Vice or anybody; all we have to do is  go back to the drawing board and correct all  the mistakes we made”, he told Asempa sports.
“We also need to bring all the stakeholders on board, listen to each person’s grievance and try our possible best to resolve them, because if we don’t come together as a unit we might miss the 2019 AFCON too”, he added.
The outspoken coach, also appealed to President of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, to pay a little more attention to the sports department than he has already done.
