A group of young men, believed to be supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), stormed the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, January 8, locking the offices of several government agencies.
The offices included the National Identification Authority (NIA), National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), National Service Secretariat (NSS), and the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
The group also reportedly moved to the regional offices of these institutions, attempting similar actions.
This action has caused distress for the affected staff and left individuals who visited the offices to access services stranded.
Although calm has been restored, the situation has had a traumatic impact on the staff.
