NDC will restore hope to Ghanaians – Opoku-Agyemang assures

Running mate to John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has assured Ghanaians that the party is prepared to restore hope to the nation if elected in the upcoming elections.

She highlighted the necessity of this restoration due to the economic decline experienced under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by Nana Akufo-Addo.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized that the next NDC government plans to rejuvenate Ghana through the implementation of the 24-hour economy policy.

She urged manufacturing companies and traders to get ready for this transformative policy, which is a central part of the NDC’s agenda to rescue and reset the country from the effects of economic mismanagement by the current government.

She elaborated that the 24-hour economy policy would offer numerous benefits to companies, including tax waivers, reduced tariff rates, and increased productivity.

Moreover, the job shift system under this policy would generate more employment opportunities and promote financial independence for workers and households.

Speaking at a durbar of Chiefs at Denkyira Bibianiha in the Upper Denkyira East constituency of the Central Region, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang called on all organizations to actively engage in the forthcoming national 24-hour economy initiative.

“The NDC will restore hope and rebuild the economy to meet the aspirations of Ghanaians. We have done it before, and you can trust us to do it again for you,” she said.
