Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has outlined the party’s plans to abolish the current double-track system by completing the remaining 200 Community Day Schools.
According to Mr. Asiedu Nketiah, the completed schools will provide more space for students under the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, accommodating the growing number of qualified students.
In the second phase of his “Retail Campaign” tour, Asiedu Nketiah made stops across Ashanti Region constituencies, including Sekyere Afram Plains, Ejura, Afigya Sekyere East, and Kwabre East.
At Ejura Sekyeredumase, he reminded voters of the government’s failure to finish the community day SHS projects initiated under former President John Mahama, stressing the NDC’s commitment to fulfilling this agenda to improve the education sector.
The NDC chairman also discussed the party’s plans to support youth development through a “Youth in Apprenticeship Program,” designed to create essential job opportunities for young Ghanaians.
Mr. Asiedu Nketiah’s campaign tour will continue through rural communities in the Ashanti Region, aiming to galvanize support for the NDC ahead of the December elections.
