The National Democratic Congress(NDC) taskforce in the Ashanti region has seized over 3,000 fertilizers allegedly hidden by the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in a warehouse at Asante Akyem Agogo in Asante Akyem North Municipality.
Speaking to Adom News, the leader of the team, Nana Prempeh Amankwah said it forms part of the Operations Recover All Loot (ORAL) in the region.
Nana Prempeh claimed the fertilisers were intended to be distributed to farmers but were and upon a tip-off, the team discovered them.
The fertilisers have been transported to the Municipal Assembly office for safekeeping.
Nana Prempeh said even though the police have begun investigations, the NDC will ensure the fertilisers are kept under strict security until power is handed over to the next government.
