Running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is the only political party that gets excited when a misfortune befalls the country because of their political interests.

Addressing a durbar of chiefs and the people of Assin Fosu in the Assin Central Constituency of the Central Region, Dr. Opoku Prempeh said “The NDC is the only political party that jubilates when something unfortunate happens to Ghana because it serves their political agenda.”

He continued, “The NDC couldn’t keep the lights on for eight years, which is why they were so excited when the nation experienced recent power outages.”

Dr. Opoku Prempeh also assured the people that the NPP would not deceive them like the NDC.

He referenced a previous statement by an NDC candidate, saying, “Unlike the NDC, who once admitted that political campaigns are full of lies, we in the NPP will not come before you with falsehoods.”

Napo emphasized that, “The NDC are known to be masters of deception, capable of lying their way into the hearts of the people. It is therefore crucial for the NPP to effectively communicate our good works to the Ghanaian people to keep the NDC out of their minds.”
