The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended parliamentary aspirant, Kpeli Worlase, for engaging in activities deemed detrimental to the party’s interests.
The suspension comes after the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) received reports of misconduct, including allegations of campaigning against the party’s parliamentary candidate in the Afram Plains North constituency.
During a meeting held on July 23, 2024, the FEC reviewed the allegations and decided to suspend Mr Worlase in accordance with Article 48 of the party’s constitution.
The case has been referred to the National Disciplinary Committee for further investigation and adjudication.
The aspirant is suspended from the party with immediate effect and has been urged to attend a hearing with the Disciplinary Committee.
The committee’s findings and recommendations will be submitted to the FEC for final action.
The NDC emphasizes the importance of unity and adherence to party regulations, particularly in the run-up to critical elections.
