NDC supporters lock up relief warehouses in Northern regions

-

Several warehouses owned by district assemblies in the Northern Region, stocked with vital relief supplies for individuals affected by prolonged droughts and flooding, have been locked by National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters in Tamale.

The government had dispatched relief items, including fertilizer, rice, oil, and agrochemicals, to various districts in the north to assist farmers whose agricultural lands were devastated.

However, these supplies remain locked in the warehouses, with plans for distribution reportedly delayed until after the elections.

Similarly, on December 9, NDC supporters in the Chereponi District of the North East Region locked several relief warehouses, further stalling the delivery of aid to vulnerable communities.

These actions have sparked concerns about the timely distribution of much-needed assistance, as many continue to grapple with the challenges posed by ongoing environmental crises in the region.
