Some National Democratic Congress (NDC) have for the second time besieged the Greater Accra Regional Office of the Electoral Commission (EC).
The NDC supporters are mainly from the Ablekuma North constituency.
There is fierce resistance by the irate supporters who engaged military and police personnel deployed to the premises in a near clash.
The supporters are demanding the declaration of its candidate, Ewurabena Aubynn as the MP-elect amidst attempts to invade the EC office, where the collation of ballots for the fiercely contested is ongoing.
The security personnel mounted barricades to prevent the mammoth crowd gathered outside the office.
They have expressed frustration over the delay in the collation process, which has been prolonged due to disputes over the results.
Currently, some leadership of both the NDC and New Patriotic Party(NPP) are at the EC office, trying to urge calm.
EC officials were unable to complete the collation of results at the constituency level on Monday as agitated party supporters forcefully broke into the collation room, causing chaos.
They destroyed parts of the building’s burglar-proof security and scattered pink sheets while journalists and observers fled to safety.
The agitations follows claims of 18 missing pink sheets during the collation of presidential results due to which the exercise was moved to the regional office.
