NDC seizes DRIP machines over alleged private use at Dadwene/Kyekyewere branch

-

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) branch at Dadwene/Kyekyewere in the Fomena Constituency, Adansi North District, has seized District Road Improvement Project (DRIP) irrigation machines allegedly being used for private purposes.

Adom News investigations revealed that the machines, originally intended for community use, were being used for private business activities in the Dadwene/Kyekyewere area of the Ashanti Region.

Speaking to Adom News, Mohammed Alhassan, the NDC branch chairman for Dadwene/Kyekyewere, confirmed the seizure.

He explained that, the party took the action upon learning of the machines’ misuse, which he argued could undermine their intended purpose.

“We cannot allow these machines to be used for private business. They are meant to serve the community, and if misused, they may break down when they are needed most,” Mr. Alhassan stated.

Efforts to reach the caretaker of the machines for his response were unsuccessful, as he declined to comment at the time.

The NDC branch emphasized its commitment to ensuring that community resources are used for the benefit of all and not for private gain.
