The Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Asutifi North in the Ahafo Region, Dr. Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, has registered 1,030 people within the Kensere enclave onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to enhance their healthcare accessibility.
Dr. Addo, in an interview with Adom News, explained that his research indicated residents of Kensere and nearby communities, predominantly small-scale farmers, struggled to access healthcare services due to a lack of NHIS coverage.
Recognizing this challenge, he decided to facilitate free NHIS registration for these residents.
The registration exercise focused on both new enrollments and renewals, with Dr. Addo believing that this initiative will significantly improve residents’ access to quality healthcare services.
Some beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Dr. Addo for prioritizing their health needs without politicizing the process, noting that the registration was open to everyone.
