NDC only interested in propaganda, not governance – Afenyo-Markin

-

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has strongly criticized the current National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, accusing it of prioritizing propaganda over governance and failing to fulfill its commitments to Ghanaians.

Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, Afenyo-Markin argued that the government assumed office without a clear strategy to tackle pressing national issues, including job creation, support for fisherfolk, and assistance for farmers.

“Mr. Speaker, it is very clear to us that our friends in government today were only interested in propaganda politics,” he stated.

He further alleged that instead of focusing on development, the government has been engaging in political persecution, targeting and arresting opponents while disregarding their fundamental human rights.

“They came into office with no clear plans… They only came to persecute, to arrest political opponents, and deny them their basic fundamental human rights,” he emphasized.

Afenyo-Markin called on the government to shift its focus from political witch-hunting to addressing the challenges affecting Ghanaians.
