An aspiring Greater Accra Regional Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Billey M. Tahiru, is calling for a paradigm shift in the party.
According to him, the party needs strategists at the helm of affairs to wrestle power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Chief Billey, as he is affectionately called, made the call on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday.
He indicated that the race towards victor 2020 is no child’s play thus the NDC needs someone like him to wrestle power from the ruling NPP.
“When I am elected the next Vice Chairman for the region, I promise, research would be conducted to ensure the correct distribution of logistics and ensure the availability of other things that will make the NDC look more attractive from now into election 2020,” he stated.

Chief Billey who is also a procurement specialist said the grassroots have made him fully understand that a lot is needed to be done to ensure information gets to them.
The Vice-Chair-hopeful noted that the 34 constituencies in the Greater Accra Region have their peculiar and unique demands which he thinks should be tackled differently to strengthen them.

He said if elected vice chairman for the region, he would insist different policies go to different constituencies based on their different needs and demands.
Chief Billey said the mistakes of the current regional executives should serve as a guide to the incoming new executives after September 1, 2018.
