The New Patriotic Party’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako says the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is doomed for voting out all Voltarians from the National Executive Committee at the party’s just-ended congress.
Mr Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, believes former President John Mahama should be blamed for such developments within the NDC.

According to him, the move forms part of the ex-president’s grand scheme to hijack the NDC for personal gains.
“This development of voting out Voltarians at the congress will do more harm than good to the NDC. Before the elections, I knew the NDC, spearheaded by Mahama will come out with such results. They should take it from me that ignoring Voltarians means they will lose in 2020 and 2024 [Elections],” he said on Neat FM monitored by Adomonline.com.

Chairman Wontumi said he expected the NDC to vote out their old executives who led the party to defeat in 2016 and replace them with new ones.
According to him, though he does not share the principles of the NDC, the best he would wish for is to see them develop into a vibrant opposition after losing the 2016 elections by over one million-vote margin.
