NDC Hawks in BA chase judge out of court, beat up team members

Over hundred youth allegedly belonging to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hawks in Brong Ahafo region has allegedly chased the Circuit Court Judge who presided over an assault case between one Sefa Kenneth of Hwidiem and Ahmed Usman who is known to be a close ally of Collins Dauda, the Member of Parliament of Asutifi South.

This attack was as a result of the decision of the court to remand their member, Usman who is also the NDC Regional Treasurer for two weeks.

According to reports, the NDC vigilante group the Regional police prosecutor and beat up the Deputy Regional Youth Organizer of the NPP, Shadrach Abrefa Mensa, Mohammed Asoma and other members of the ruling party in the region.

They also threw stones onto the vehicle of the District Chief Executive of Hwidem.

The young men and women chased out the judge and police in the presence of  Former Regional Minister, Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, Mohammed Seidu(Maha), Mohammed Kwaku Doku (former MCE of Goaso)  Tuffour NDC Communications Director, NDC Regional Organizer and Tano North and South Constituency Executives of NDC.

About six Mahindra vehicles, four Toyota Hilux pickups, four buses and many salon cars had conveyed these people from across the region to Duayaw Nkwanta Circuit.

Meanwhile, the assaulted NPP Youth Organizer and other members who sustained injuries were sent to the Tano North District Assembly for protection and later escorted to Sunyani by police.
