New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has claimed that some persons within the former administration are plotting to have him assassinated.

The Legislator speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam on Thursday, 30th March, 2017 said that the former government officials have taken steps to ensure that he and other persons in the NPP including the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as ‘Wontumi’ and acting National Chairman of the party, Freddie Blay.

The unnamed former officials who believe he and the other two contributed significantly to the NDC’s massive defeat in the 2016 polls worked to ensure the release of some prisoners to execute this mission.

“I know about all the plots to have me, (Freddie) Blay and Wontumi killed…I know of all the boys dispatched for that purpose…,” he claimed.

According to Ken Agyapong, the same group of NDC officials also dispatched six persons to his house with the sole mission of assassinating.

Three of the six, Ken Agyapong claimed were killed by personnel of the Ghana Police Service while the other three have been charged and arraigned before court.

“Call the former IGP, Alhassan (Mohammed) and ask him, six persons were dispatched with the sole aim of killing me, they (Police) shot and killed three, three of them are still in court as I speak…,” he claimed.

These threats on his life and that of Wontumi and Blay, he added cannot dissuade him from exposing corrupt acts in the system.

The business mogul said he would never relent on his efforts to throw sunshine on shady deals adding further that persons in the current Nana Addo administration who would engage in acts of corruption would also be exposed.

“If I have been able to reveal what was wrong with my left arm (NDC), I should be able to also reveal what is wrong with my right arm (NPP)…,” he added.

Appointees of Nana Addo who would also seek to stampede the vision of the Nana Addo administration by shielding persons he claimed engaged in corrupt acts under Mahama would also be reported to the President.
