NDC exposes three policemen over seizure of gov’t vehicles

-

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has disassociated itself from an alleged ongoing seizure of government vehicles from public officers.

In a statement, the NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, indicated that the unlawful actions are being perpetuated by certain police officers, claiming to be acting on behalf of the Office of the President.

The statement identified the officers involved as Ebenezer Mortey (Service Number: 58283), Bright Opoku Agyei (Service Number: 58551), and Appiah Degraft (Service Number: 53631).

However, Mr. Moore noted that no directive had been issued from the Office of the President or the NDC’s hierarchy authorizing such actions.

The former Adentan MP further condemned the acts, describing them as criminal and urging the public to report any such incidents to the appropriate authorities.

The public has therefore been directed to contact Superintendent John Danso, the Director of Operations at the Accra Regional Police Headquarters, via 0553042470, or Prosper Douglas Bani, the Head of the Interim Security Taskforce at the Office of the President, to report any such incidents for appropriate resolution.
