NDC executives in Western Region laud Bagbin’s ‘political track record’

-

A group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) executives in the Western Region have celebrated Mr Alban Bagbin, the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament and 2020 flagbearer hopeful, for his track record in politics.

“We, as concerned NDC Executives in the Western Region are celebrating Mr Bagbin because he is the father of Ghana’s Parliament and a role model with vast experience in law, governance and business among other things and it is not for nothing that Mr Moses Asaga, a former Deputy Minister of Finance and MP for Nabdam, described him as the best MP ever.

“He has helped many people in diverse ways and known worldwide. In fact, he is more popular than any other hopeful in our rank and file” Mr Frank Somiah Andoh, Convenor of the group and a member of the Evalue Ajomoro Gyira Constituency communications team said.

Mr Andoh, who is a former Director of Elections, said “Bagbin’s contribution to the country’s democracy cannot be measured. In fact, he is a man of wisdom and has the NDC at heart, our first meeting with him was very impressive and we all doffed-off our hats for him”.

These views were articulated during a meeting of executive members of the NDC at Ainyinase in the Ellembelle Constituency of the Western Region.

Mr Charles Sarkodie, NDC Organizer in the Jomoro Constituency, described Mr Bagbin as a gift from God, who deserved to be celebrated by the entire nation because of his achievements.

Mr Jabez Entsua Mensah, NDC branch chairman in the Ellembele constituency said “anybody who doubts the resourcefulness of Mr Bagbin should take a look at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, which is an upgrade of the Ridge Hospital, many do not know, but it is a brainchild he started while he was Health Minister. He is a good farmer and does other businesses as well”.

Mr Entsua Mensah, after introducing Bagbin’s campaign song to the gathering, thanked his colleague NDC executives from various constituencies for attending the function in their numbers.
