Two people were injured after chaos broke out in Kumasi during the nationwide demonstration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against the Electoral Commission (EC).
Accra-based Citi News reported the police fired teargas to disperse some supporters who clashed with security personnel.
Some protesters attempted to attack a Policeman, forcing him to seek refuge in a nearby house.
Another officer was also injured after some protesters assaulted him.
It is however not immediately clear what caused the chaos.
Meanwhile, the military have been deployed to the EC premises to beef up security.
The nationwide protest dubbed ‘Enough is Enough’ aims to pressure the EC into conducting an audit of the voter register.
