The Ghana Police Service has denied a shooting incident at the Electoral Commission (EC) in Kumasi of the Ashanti region during the ‘Enough is ‘Enough demonstration.
In a statement, the Service emphasised that there had been no shooting in the demonstration organised and led by the National Democratic Congress(NDC).
The statement added that, no police personnel had also injured a protester.
According to the Police, some demonstrators went against the agreed arrangement by forcing their way into the EC premises but were restrained.
“We would like to take this opportunity to urge the media to be circumspect in their reportage”, the statement admonished.
The demonstration held nation is to impress on the EC to audit the voters register ahead of the 2024 election.

The Ghana Police Service wishes to state that there has been no shooting incident at the Kumasi office of the Electoral Commission and no demonstrator has been injured by the Police.
