The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bia West constituency in the Western North Region, Dr Augustine Tawiah, has suffered a defeat in the parliamentary primary.
A total of 1,504 delegates exercised their franchise.
After successful voting at Debiso, the two-term MP had 452 votes while his contestant, Mustapha Tanko, pulled 935 votes.
There was also one rejected ballot.
