A failed contestant of the just-ended National Delegate Congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is alleging the name of former President John Mahama was used by some executives to settle personal scores.
Solomon Nkansah who lost the National Organiser position said many of them were tagged anti-Mahama, a tag that worked against them.

His comment comes to buttress allegations that some people within the NDC are against the second coming of Mr Mahama.
These individuals are said to be the biggest losers in the elections when over 9,000 delegates converged at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
Likewise, a majority of those who won including the National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and other big winners are on record to have endorsed the candidature of John Mahama to lead the party in the 2020 elections.

Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Wednesday, Solomon Nkansah said he suffered the same fate.
He said some executives who see him as a threat branded him anti-Mahama and campaigned vigorously against him at the grassroots.
“Some people used John Mahama to settle personal scores but the man [Mahama] did not know,” he stated.
The former National Communications Director wondered how the party will function if former President John Mahama is not the candidate.

“If you victimize people with anti-Mahama, what happens when he is not there” he quizzed.
Solomon Nkansah warned that such divisions will affect the chances of the NDC in the 2020 general elections.
