NDC condemns attack on executives in Ahafo Region

-

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth wing has strongly condemned the alleged attacks on some of its youth members in the Ahafo Region on September 7, 2024.

In a statement shared on X and signed by George Opare Addo, the National Youth Organizer of the NDC, it was reported that the attackers ransacked the residence of the party’s former constituency chairperson in the region.

The statement further noted that the Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Masawudu Suleman, was also assaulted at the same location.

“On September 7, 2024, some NDC youth were unjustifiably attacked by NPP thugs. The home of our former Constituency Chairperson in the affected area was ransacked, and the Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Masawudu Suleman, was assaulted in the same residence,” the statement reads.

The NDC has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Ahafo Regional Police, demanding the arrest of those responsible for the attacks.

The statement warns that the NDC youth wing will consider taking retaliatory action if the Police fails to meet their demands within the deadline.

“The Ahafo Regional Police have 48 hours to arrest the culprits, or we will retaliate with full force,” the statement adds.

  • The home of our former Constituency Chairperson in the affected area was ransacked, and the Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Masawudu Suleman, was assaulted in the same residence.
