NDC begins vetting of 287 MMDCE aspirants in Volta Region

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has begun assessing 287 individuals who have expressed interest in heading the various Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) in the Volta Region.

Out of the 287 aspirants, 33 are females and 254 are males.

The vetting, which commenced on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, is expected to conclude on Monday, January 27, 2025.

The vetting committee is composed of Egypt Kobla Kudoto and other members including Francis Ganyaglo, former Deputy Regional Minister; Joseph Amenorwude, former Minister; Fafa Agbai, former Regional Women’s Organiser; Daniel Agboka Jegede, Regional Treasurer; and other party executives.

Mr. Kudoto told Adom News that the exercise is significant and pivotal in the NDC’s efforts to identify and appoint competent individuals as heads of the 18 MDAs in the region.

He expressed confidence that the committee will select visionary individuals to advance President John Dramani Mahama’s reset agenda.
