Native doctor shoots and kills client while testing bulletproof charm

A 19-year-old self-proclaimed native doctor, Timothy Dauda, has been arrested in Edo State for shooting his client to death while testing a bulletproof charm he had prepared.

The incident occurred after Dauda, who specializes in creating charms against firearms and cutlasses, attempted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the charm on his client, Alex Ezekiel.

According to SP Moses Joel Yamu, spokesperson for the State Police Command, the shooting took place when Ezekiel, seeking protection, visited Dauda to obtain a bulletproof charm.

Dauda tested the charm’s efficacy by shooting Ezekiel with a gun, resulting in fatal injuries.

The victim was immediately rushed to Ifejola Hospital in Igarra, where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.

Dauda was subsequently arrested by operatives from the Igarra Division.

SP Yamu confirmed that Dauda will face prosecution once the investigation into the incident is completed.
