Renowned Nigerian gospel artist and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, will lead worship at the U.S. Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast for President-elect Donald Trump on January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
Bassey, known for his inspiring worship music and the globally acclaimed Hallelujah Challenge, shared the announcement on his Instagram page, captioning a promotional poster: “Let’s raise a sound in America. See you on January 20, 2025.”
The event, hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner at the Waldorf Astoria Presidential Ballroom, is a non-partisan, faith-based gathering held every four years to offer spiritual support to incoming administrations.
This year’s program will feature prominent speakers, including Dr. Alveda King and Pastor Mario Bramnick, as part of the lead-up to the inauguration of Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance.
Nathaniel Bassey, celebrated for hits like “Imela,” “Onise Iyanu,” and “Olowogbogboro,” has gained international acclaim for his dynamic ministry and soul-stirring voice.
His work has earned him widespread recognition, including the declaration of October 6, 2024, as “Pastor Nathaniel Bassey Day” by the Mayor of Albany, New York.
The prayer breakfast marks another milestone in Bassey’s impactful ministry, as he prepares to share his music on a global stage at a historic event.
