NAPO slams NDC’s “reset” Agenda

-

The NPP running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has warned Ghanaians against the “Reset” message by NDC flagbearer John Mahama, arguing that it represents a return to the issues experienced during Mahama’s presidency.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Asuofua, Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Opoku Prempeh criticized the NDC’s plan, stating, “John Mahama’s reset agenda is essentially a plan to revert to the problems of his previous term.

“John Mahama’s reset agenda is essentially a plan to take us back to the problems of his previous administration. Under his 8 years in office, nearly every project initiated by the Kufuor administration in the Ashanti Region was abandoned. It was only under Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration that these projects were resumed and completed.”

Dr. Opoku Prempeh reminded voters that Mahama’s reset campaign could lead to the reinstatement of canceled policies such as the Teachers and Nursing Trainees Allowances and the free Senior High School (SHS) program, and potentially another four years of unreliable power supply.

He urged voters not to support a candidate who aims to take the country backward and cannot be held accountable due to the limitation of serving only one term.

“Mahama’s reset message is a call to reinstate canceled policies like the Teachers and Nursing Trainees Allowances and the free Senior High School (SHS) program, which could also lead to another four years of unreliable power supply. I urge you not to vote for a candidate who wants to take us backward and cannot be held accountable due to his single term limit.

Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, Middle Belt Coordinator of the NPP 2024 Campaign and MP for Effiduase-Asokore, also urged voters to support the NPP, emphasizing that Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s rise to the Vice Presidency would ensure that their region receives its fair share of development without delay.

Outgoing MP for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Benito Owusu Bio, expressed his gratitude to the people for electing him to Parliament five terms over the past 20 years.

He highlighted some of the developmental projects he has championed during his tenure.
