NAPO promises to prioritize road construction in food-growing areas

Running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has assured food-growing communities that the NPP government will continue to make roads leading to these areas motorable for the benefit of farmers.

During a campaign stop at Kunsu, a farming community in the Kintampo North Constituency of the Bono East Region, as part of his nationwide tour, Dr. Opoku Prempeh expressed empathy for the challenges faced by farmers due to poor road conditions.

“Using the road to get here has given me a clear understanding of what the people endure every day to bring their farm produce to the market,” he said. “It is unacceptable that farmers toil and sweat to grow their crops, but are unable to transport their produce to the market to earn a living because of bad roads.”

Dr. Opoku Prempeh assured the people that he would engage the Minister for Roads and Highways to ensure that the road is repaired.

He added, “In the meantime, the newly acquired DRIP machines will begin working on the road as soon as possible to bring some relief to the people.”

The Chief of Kunsu, Osahene Kwaku Koranteng backed Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s nomination as running mate to Dr. Bawumia.

“Your selection to partner Dr. Bawumia is a step in the right direction,” the chief stated, pledging his support for the NPP ticket.

He also highlighted several pressing challenges facing the community that require immediate attention.
