The Convener of the One Ghana Movement, Senyo Hosi, has defended Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, against accusations of arrogance.
In a Facebook post on Monday, October 21, Hosi emphasized that Napo, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2024 election, is simply passionate about his views and not arrogant.
Hosi highlighted that, while Napo may come across as strong and firm in his opinions, he is not inflexible or unyielding.
Instead, he is open to acknowledging when he is wrong, which, according to Hosi, is a sign of humility and personal growth.
He further explained that Napo’s assertiveness should not be mistaken for arrogance, noting that having strong convictions is a common trait among individuals who are deeply committed to their beliefs and responsibilities.
Napo’s willingness to engage in dialogue and admit mistakes makes him an effective leader, Mr Hosi suggested.
“I am in no position to judge others and their experiences with Napo but I can only speak of mine. Working with Napo was demanding. He took nothing on the face of it and will interrogate everything.”
“Your being an expert at anything never cowed him. You simply had to make sense and that made two of us. Spurred by his broad and deep reading in pursuit of authority on any subject matter he is responsible for, he nurtures strong opinions but welcomes any debate to assure himself of an optimal opinion.”
“In summary, Napo is different, passionate about his opinions and may seem intimidating in his debating style. But for me, I DO NOT KNOW HIM AS ARROGANT.”
“There is no doubt that there is a thin line between Confidence and Hubris, but that thinness may blur your judgement of what is or may be,” he posted.
